Acknowledgements

We owe deep gratitude to Cynthia Callsen, the creator and initial Planning Coordinator of NY Metro Focusing - and to her Planning Group successors - Joan Lavender and Larry Hurst. Larry continues to give generously of his time, energy and wise counsel to help coordinate, develop, implement and sustain the group.

A special thanks to Susan Rudnick who facilitated our very first meeting on 2/29/2008 as well as a  transitional meeting in June, 2009, helping us to get started and then to move along our way.

And thank you to Judith Cobb, Naomi Glicken and Katya Salkinder who were the first to join with Cynthia and Larry in planning and implementing this project.  Past Planning Group members, Elizabeth Lehmann, Griffith Feeney, and Joanne Stickles, and current members Christine Bubbico, Barbara Chutroo, Susan Deisroth, Diana Kirigin, and Anne Shollar have all contributed their time, energy and creative resources to help NYMF flourish.

Griffith Feeney was an early member of our Planning Group and gave generously his considerable technical knowledge (among his other wealth of ideas)  to help us set up our mailing lists, various internet communications tools, and our website.  Thank you, Griff.

Thanks to others who contributed writing and design expertise to help create our website: Larry Hurst, Elizabeth Lehmann,  Robin Kappy, Naomi Glicken, and Ellen Kirschner .

And then thank you to all those who have generously presented and will present in the future at our meetings.  These presentations of how Focusing is being used and developed here in our Metropolitan area are the heart and soul of why we come together as a group.  Thank you for sharing and helping us to grow.  Please visit our Archives page to to enjoy the richness of our diversity.

And now we are moving into New Territory - Focusing Explorations of areas of common interest and meaning.  We hope this next step in our evolution will help our community grow in our connections to ourselves and with one another.
