THERAPY MATTERS
A new workshop series with
LYNN PRESTON, MA, MS, LP
'IT IS ME BABE': STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE OF CO-CREATING A NEW BEGINNING
WORKSHOP SIX
Wednesday, May 29th, 7:30 - 9:15pm
Lynn Preston assisted by Robin Kappy
The therapy relationship offers a unique invitation to people to bring their early primary emotional needs, and embodies the hope that these needs will in some way be engaged. How can we ordinary, vulnerable, all-too-human therapists navigate such a profound transformational process? How can we be both genuinely ourselves and more than ourselves?
In this once-a-month series we delve into 8 pivotal dimensions of generative therapeutic process. These workshops are an interweaving of theoretical exploration and experiential demonstrations. They are designed to be accessible and challenging to both beginning and seasoned clinicians.
In this workshop we will look at some of the vehicles of empowerment and the awesome challenges inherent in taking up the job that Bob Dylan* so emphatically refuses.
PLACE: 100 West Houston Street, between LaGuardia & Thompson Streets, Buzzer #2
FEE: $40

* "You say you're lookin' for someone
Who's never weak but always strong
To protect you an' defend you
Whether you are right or wrong
Someone to open each and every door
It ain't me babe. No no no
It ain't me you're lookin’ for babe."-Bob Dylan, 'It Ain't Me, Babe'
