MACROSHIFTING: MAKING THE DAUNTING DOABLE
The Theory and Practice of Deep Change
with Robert Lee
Focusing brings shifts, which open new possibilities for action. Little shifts and small action steps are the building blocks for change on the macro level. However, little steps do not seem always to lead to larger change, particularly with intransigent issues. “Macroshifting” needs some of its own special methods which will be shared by Robert Lee, focusing theoretician and innovator. His method and theory for solving the riddle of Deep Change coming out of focusing, the philosophy of the implicit and Domain Focusing, have evolved over a 20 year period. What is tackled is often something you have tried to change without success: a daunting issue, situation, dilemma or project. It is about recognizing the significant resources you need to gather and organize for making deep change realistic. It is the process of arriving at the NEW.
Robert L.Lee, Ph.D., Psychotherapist, focusing teacher and theoretician has developed a new model for teaching focusing (Domain Focusing). He has developed a theory and practice for change on the macro level for stubborn problems (Changing the Unchangeable). He has developed a comprehensive practice for working with difficulties in felt sense formation (Elusive Felt Sensing). In psychotherapy, he has developed special methods for using focusing in couples therapy, in group therapy, and with anxiety. He hosted the 2004 international Focusing Conference in Costa Rica and led numerous conferences and teachings in many parts of the world.

Also, enjoy our FOCUSING COMMUNITY MARKETPLACE: In a lively exchange with others in our community, this is a time and place to share your Focusing projects, workshops, and trainings and to let us know what other goods and services you have to offer. Bring your flyers and brochures for our literature table.
PLEASE INVITE FRIENDS and COLLEAGUES: While NY Metro Focusing meetings are not introductions to Focusing, we hope newcomers get a little taste of the Focusing experience and are motivated to learn more by taking an Introduction to Focusing workshop.
Suggested Contribution: $20 to cover rental and refreshment expenses. Those new to Focusing are our guests for their first NYMF meeting. Cash only please, since we are not able to take credit cards or checks.
Date of the next NYMF meeting: Friday, December 3rd at the above venue.
