MEETING PROGRAM

4:30 pm            Registration and networking with light refreshments

5:00 pm            Welcome and Introduction:  Susan Deisroth
5:05 pm            EXPLORING RESILIENCE & VULNERABILITY     TOGETHER

We are delighted to have you join us in co-creating an organic fluid experience of exploring resilience and vulnerability, one thing flowing from the other.
Our process will include felt-sensing, resonant listening and the resulting carrying forward.
We’ll expand and deepen our experiential understanding of resilience and vulnerability, while the process itself fosters our resilience.

This evening’s facilitator:
Elizabeth Lehmann is a process-oriented psychotherapist who practices in Manhattan and Warwick, NY.  Through “The Focusing Institute” she’s had the privilege of teaching:  "Introduction to Focusing", "Expanding Your Focusing Experience", "Focusing As An Underpinning for EMDR" and "Introduction to Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapy". Elizabeth is also the developer of “RESILIENT-YOU”, an audio program imbued with Focusing.

Assisted by:
Cynthia Callsen, founder of NY Metro Focusing (along with Larry Hurst and with the help of others).  She is a practicing psychotherapist for more than 30 years and a Bach Flower Registered Practitioner.  She has specialized in Focusing-oriented psychotherapy since 2007.

Christine Bubbico, Cynthia Callsen, Susan Deisroth, Naomi Glicken, Larry Hurst, Sharron Kaplan, Diana Kirigin, and Viktor Raykin.

This is a grass roots, member-run organization.  We welcome your involvement.  The planning group meetings are open to anyone interested in attending.

New York Metro Focusing Mission Statement

The mission of New York Metro Focusing is to embody and carry forward the practice of Focusing and the philosophy that supports it as developed in the work of Eugene Gendlin and others.  By holding regularly scheduled meetings, NY Metro Focusing will offer members of this local geographic community ongoing opportunities to connect, share and grow in their appreciation and practice of Focusing.  The group will welcome newcomers by offering them an opportunity to learn about the life-enhancing practice of Focusing.  In this way, NY Metro Focusing will help to engender a thriving and visible presence for the practice of Focusing in the New York Metropolitan area.
