NEW YORK METRO FOCUSING
Friday, June 6, 2014
NY Metro Focusing meetings offer an opportunity to engage in a felt sensing, interactive exploration of topics of interest. Our conversational process encourages slowing down, listening from a felt sensing place, and letting what we hear resonate within to bring something new and fresh, both within ourselves and within the group.

FINDING THE WISDOM WITHIN
Facilitated by Susan Deisroth
What sustains us in life? How can we reach deep down to find that which will encourage, strengthen and guide us in the face of experiences of suffering and loss? In this workshop we will spend time in a focusing way to find and work with our own personal meaning of wisdom. We will sense how it lives in others who mean something to us and how, through our appreciation of the wisdom in another, we can discover it within ourselves as well.
This evening’s facilitator:
Susan Deisroth, LCSW, has been a psychotherapist for 30 years. She did her postgraduate training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. She studied Focusing with Robert Lee and Ann Weiser Cornell and Wholebody Focusing with Kevin McEvenue and Karen Whalen. Susan is a Certified Focusing Professional and is presently taking the Focusing Oriented Relational Psychotherapy training with Lynn Preston and others. Susan maintains a private psychotherapy practice in New York City.
