CULTIVATING THE PAUSE
Facilitated by Sharron Kaplan
"The Pause" is intricately woven into our focusing practice, our focusing attitude and the essence of healthy relationships. We may not be aware of the pause until we ask, " What is it to pause and what does it bring to our lives?" This is the question that we will be exploring in our evening with Sharron Kaplan and the Metro Focusing Community.
Cultivating the Pause can take us into connection with a deeper body feel and a way to the other which is spontaneous, direct, and alive.
During the days before our gathering we invite you to pay attention to how the Pause is or is not in your life already, so that you may come to our evening with some of your own thoughts and experiences to share and to grow.
This evening’s facilitator:
Sharron Kaplan is a psychotherapist in Private Practice. She holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Social Work and a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis. She is trained in hypnosis and meditation and has taught Mind-Body Training and Medical Practice at Mt. Sinai Medical School. She is a frequent presenter and has published extensively in her field. She is a Certified Focusing Professional, having trained with Robert Lee, and has completed the training program in Focusing Oriented Relational Psychotherapy.
