Next meeting dates: April 25 and June 13 Save the Dates now.
NEEDED:
Would someone volunteer to take notes at the meeting and post them in an interesting write-up to the email lists within 2 weeks after our meeting?
Here are some things to think about before the first meeting:
1. What do you want and/or need from an association/organization of local focusers – different from and in addition to what you get in other places.
2. A name for the organization: association, forum, consortium, gathering,
center . . . . . . . .
And how to designate the geographic area to include all those within
reasonable traveling distance who have an interest in joining.
3. How you might like to be involved? Here are some ideas:
a. Developing the underpinnings for the group – how to identify and formalize, in “process” terminology, the various functions needed to develop and sustain the group and how to pass the baton at designated intervals.
b. Email list/Website development. It would seem at a minimum we need a dedicated email list/lists to post meeting dates and basic communications and a simple website to draw attention to the group and offer a link from and to other sites (including the Focusing Institute)
c. Arrangements – responsibility for space rental, food, set up and clean up.
d. Financials – responsibility for figuring out how to deal with the costs and handling the money at the meetings and in between.
e. Someone willing to keep meeting record, write up a brief summary and post it in an email so everyone can keep abreast of the goings-on.
Perhaps this picture will change as this first meeting evolves, but these are some needs as seen from this vantage point.
If you are interested in one of these areas but can’t be present, please let either Cynthia or Larry know via email or by telephone.
