Finding Our Way Forward in the New Year
Facilitated by Jude Cobb and Susan Deisroth

For this first meeting of the New Year, we met in a different space, the Judson Sanctuary, a large beautiful space with long stained glass windows along the sides.  There Jude Cobb and Susan Deisroth led us in a journey of discovery into the New Year.  Through a guided Focusing exercise Jude first helped us locate our felt sense of the past year, then what we felt wanted to be carried forward into this new year, and what we wanted to lay down.  We shared with each other what had come for us.  Susan then encouraged us to allow our felt sense to flow into movement in whatever way felt right and true to our felt sense.  Some people stayed within our original circle; others explored deeply into the church sanctuary.  For some people the movements which matched their felt sense were small and contained; for others, large and expansive.  We were encouraged to explore whether we could find in our movement itself any support for what we were carrying within.   When we gathered together again as a group, quite a few people reported meaningful experiences of being with themselves in this new way.
